I have one of the greatest jobs in the world! Day after day, I get to tell the story of God's love for all people and share in this community we call Calvary. I get to share life with you! Throughout my career I have always found myself most happy when I'm working with people - from my first job as a paperboy, to working in camping ministry and church youth ministry, to work in sales at Microsoft. I love and am fascinated with people. Eventually, that love for people led me to follow a pesky, persistent (and often annoying) call to attend seminary. Graduate studies at Luther Seminary in St. Paul allowed me time to explore deeply the story of God's love for all people found in the bible, and offered me opportunities to broaden my sense of the diversity of God's people through travel to places like Guatemala and Germany. Before coming to Calvary in 2012, I served for 6 years as the Associate Pastor at Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church in St. Paul, MN. When I'm not at Calvary, I love sharing life with my family and good friends, especially around bonfires in our backyard. I love to travel, garden, the outdoors, reading, camping, and good conversation over a beverage of your choice.

I am a special education teacher who has also been directing handbell choirs for over 25 years. In addition to loving handbells, I also enjoys playing the piano and trombone. I feels strongly about music's essential role in worship. Martin Luther is quoted as saying "Next to the Word of God, the noble art of music is the greatest treasure in the world."
