Kid and Student Ministry

We love kids at Calvary! And just because we aren't currently meeting in person doesn't mean that kid and student ministry is on pause. Every week, right here you'll find videos and activities for littles (ages 2-5) and kids (kindergarten - 3rd grade) and a special daily dose for students (4th-12th grade) with discussion questions to go through as a family. We can't wait to connect with you virtually!

Discussion Questions

  1. Have you ever been lost, like in the story Angie told? Or have you heard someone else's story of being lost? Tell that story and how you felt/how that person might have felt if it was someone else's story.

  2. We sang Reckless Love together tonight - did you hear anything different today when you were more focused on it? What words stood out to you?

  3. Let's focus on the words "You have been so, so good to me". Where have you seen God being "good" to you recently, in the midst of all the changes?

Bible Verse

Luke 15:1-7: Now the tax collectors and sinners were all gathering around to hear Jesus. But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, "This man welcomes sinners and eats with them." Then Jesus told them this parable: "Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn't he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says 'Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.' I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent."

God, we thank you for your reckless, never-ending love for us. Help us to lean on you when we feel 'lost' or alone. Be with us during this difficult time and remind us that you are in control and you love us forever. Amen.
