Women's Ministries

All women are invited to participate in our weekly (or whenever you can make it) Bible Studies. We offer several Bible Studies throughout the week with a variety of days and times available. Contact the church office for more information. Please bring your own bibles.

As a community of women created in the image of God, called to discipleship in Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in our callings, engage in ministry and action and, promote healing and wholeness in the church, the society and, the world. Women of Calvary is made up of women who are members and friends of Calvary.

Women of Calvary offers a variety of connection opportunities:

  • Mission Projects – mission kits are assembled and sent to Lutheran World Relief. Kits include school kits, personal care kits, fabric kits and baby care kits. Kits are assembled twice yearly, in the spring and in the fall. Contribution of materials and time are welcome.
  • Cheer Baskets for Christmas – we assemble and deliver cheer baskets filled with cookies and other treats to home bound Calvary members. The baskets are assembled and delivered in December.
  • Funeral committee – set up, service and clean up the meal served after funerals.
  • Knitting and crocheting – prayer shawls are made and given to those in need of comfort. Also, we create white baby blankets to present when babies are baptized at Calvary.
